Artspace111 is pleased to announce an open call for submissions for the Artspace111 9th Annual Texas Juried Exhibition, juried by Daisha Board, Owner and Director of Daisha Board Gallery. The competition includes eligibility for 2D and 3D artwork. The exhibition will be open at Artspace111 July 16th through August 27th, 2022 with an opening reception on the evening of Saturday, July 16th. Due date for entries is Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Contemporary 2D and 3D works that follow the requirements detailed in the prospectus are eligible for acceptance, artwork selected by the juror from the eligible submissions will be included in the Texas Juried Exhibition at Artspace111 and are eligible for cash awards. A total of $5000 will be awarded to the best works in show, and the first prize will include the opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a separate solo or group exhibition in 2022-2023.

*ALL ENTRANTS* will have the option to be included in the Texas Now Online Showcase 2021 following the 8th Texas Juried Exhibition. After a successful pilot program, Artspace111 will include all entrants to the juried exhibition in an online showcase where the artwork can be collected online by Texas art collectors!
*$5.00 from each submission will be donated to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. In 2021, entrants to the Texas Juried Exhibition raised enough money to provide 15,000 meals to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Read more about their work here: www.tafb.org.

- Shipping/Receiving: Please mail all packages to address listed below. All shipped pieces must be RECEIVED by June 29th in order to be displayed. All shipments MUST INCLUDE PAID LABEL FOR RETURN SHIPPING. Please note that Artspace111 staff will be on vacation July 1st – July 9th, and will not be here to receive packages during that time.

2D Eligibility & Medium
- Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Texas.
- Contemporary original 2D work in any media including painting, prints, drawings, photography and digital images.
- 2D work should not exceed a framed size of 48” wide or 96" high.
- All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Artspace111.
- The digital image of the piece submitted must be the piece delivered to Artspace111 if selected by the jury. NO EXCEPTIONS.
-Your work of art should be ready to install, and should have hardware installed that will allow for immediate installation by the gallery with no adjustments to the pieces necessary. NO EXCEPTIONS — ARTWORK MUST HAVE HARDWARE INSTALLED FOR IMMEDIATE INSTALLATION.
3D Eligibility & Medium
- Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Texas.
- Contemporary original 3D work in any media. Please indicate Indoor or Outdoor.
- 3D work intended to hang on a wall cannot exceed 48" wide. Free standing indoor work cannot exceed 6 feet in any dimension. Free standing outdoor work must come with proper base for installation.
- All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Artspace111.
- The digital image of the piece submitted must be the piece delivered to Artspace111 if selected by the jury. NO EXCEPTIONS.
-Your work of art should be ready to install, and should have hardware installed that will allow for immediate installation by the gallery with no adjustments to the pieces necessary. NO EXCEPTIONS — ARTWORK MUST HAVE HARDWARE INSTALLED FOR IMMEDIATE INSTALLATION.
Entry Fee
$35 for one image, additional entries $5.00 each, limit 6.
Awards
Selected artists invited to exhibit in the Texas Juried Exhibition in July 2022.

Sales
- All pieces will be for sale at Artspace111. The gallery will retain 50% commission on any work sold while on display at Artspace111.

Sales - All pieces accepted into the Texas Juried Exhibition will be for sale at Artspace111. Texas Now Online Showcase All entrants will have the option to be included in the Texas Now Online Showcase, an online exhibition of all entrants to the Texas Juried Exhibition. For sales made on this platform, the artist will retain 70% commission on any work sold and will be responsible for shipping the artwork. *Benefit to ALL ENTRANTS, Texas Now Online Showcase:
In order to support Texas artists, Artspace111 is ADDING A BENEFIT TO ALL ENTRANTS of the 2022 Texas Juried Exhibition. Every artwork entered for consideration will have the opportunity to be included in Artspace111’s online showcase - regardless if your work gets accepted into the 9th Annual Texas Juried Exhibition. This online sale called Texas Now Online Showcase will take place from August 22 – September 22, 2022
During that time, collectors may browse and purchase artwork directly from the Artspace111 website. We will be promoting the sale heavily to our network of art collectors. Our intent is give all those who enter the call a platform through Artspace111 to make sales. Artists shall receive 70% of the proceeds of a sale, and will be responsible for the delivery of the artwork to the client. This additional opportunity is optional, but we hope you will participate. With this in mind, please make sure the images you submit or have submitted are of the highest quality, the images you submit will represent your work online.
Insurance & Liability
- Work will be insured at Artspace111 but not in transit.
- The gallery will not assume responsibility for work improperly framed or poorly packaged for shipping.

About the Juror:
Daisha Board is the Owner and Director of Daisha Board Gallery, a contemporary art gallery representing BIPOC artists, located in Dallas, Texas. Over the years she has worked as an advocate for increased visibility for BIPOC artists in traditional and non-traditional art spaces. In 2017, she founded Black Sheep Art Culture Inc., to ensure representation of marginalized artists. She served as Curator for Holding Space at 500x in Dallas, and Honorary Curator for the Kinsey Collection/ African American Museum of Dallas, in addition to curating multiple shows through Black Sheep Art Culture. Additionally, she has given talks across north Texas in addition to Museum Tours at the Dallas Contemporary. You can find articles about her gallery and curatorial work in many publications including Glasstire, DFW Living and The Dallas Observer.
