NEAR & FAR & UP & DOWN : WILLIAM GREINER AND NANCY LAMB

8 December 2016 - 4 February 2017
Overview

Artspace111 presents a dual exhibition of new work from William Greiner and Nancy Lamb. Fort Worth native Nancy Lamb is celebrated for her bright, expressive paintings of peripheral glances at active socialites. A recent transplant to Fort Worth, William Greiner’s photography combines an artists' eye with a photojournalistic tone, which has been displayed and collected in major museums including the MoMA, the J. Paul Getty Musem, and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. "Near & Far & Up & Down" marks a cross roads for the two artists, as William Greiner expresses a sense of place through a series of paintings, prints, and collages titled “Near & Far”, while Nancy Lamb puts her candid subjects on display through photography in the new collection “Up & Down”. Opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm. The exhibition runs through February 4th, 2017.
