Artspace111 presents Crosscurrents: Daniel Blagg and Jay Wilkinson, an exhibition bringing together two of Fort Worth's most accomplished contemporary artists. Opening during Fall Gallery Night on Saturday, September 19, 2026, the exhibition will remain on view through November 7, 2026.
Crosscurrents explores the intersection of their practices through paintings that examine both physical and psychological landscapes. Known for his large-scale depictions of abandoned buildings, weathered road signs, and empty streets, Blagg transforms overlooked remnants of the American landscape into meditations on impermanence, economic change, and cultural memory. Wilkinson's paintings draw from personal recollection, combining realism with layered surfaces that suggest the fluid and often unreliable nature of memory itself. Together, the artists create a dialogue between material decay and subjective remembrance.
