2014 marks the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Artist Dennis Blgg curates a collection of about two dozen paintings by Leslie Lanzotti, based mostly on imagery from that disastrous day. Lanzotti artistically delivers her own narrative through broad yet tasteful brush strokes. Astounded by Lanzotti's brilliant style, Mariani writes: " In one painting, Jackie Kennedy’s face is a collection of four black lines, just four, but there is no doubt that it is Jackie Kennedy. By being able to set off her subjects’ features precisely, Lanzotti is able to bring Jackie –– and JFK and LBJ and Oswald and everyone else who’s part of the sad tale –– stunningly to life."
