Love Texas Art is honored to present Blinders, the first solo exhibition for Fort Worth based painter, Jacob Lovett. Blinders will be on display September 10 – November 6, 2022 at Love Texas Art gallery located at 501 Houston Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. 

In the series Blinders, Lovett explores the concept of truth and our individual journey to find it. He beautifully and delicately renders bronc and bull riders clinging to their opponent, both rider and animal in independent although tethered struggle. Through these works, Lovett is depicting the sometimes-violent struggle to find truth, both with ourselves and with forces in the world around us.  In a clean greyscale color palette against crisp white backgrounds, Lovett brings the terms Western and Modern together in each of his 20 oil paintings.
