My art embraces the beauty and rhythm of life. I am inspired by the vibrations of color and how that translates into capturing the spirit of my subject. My process is a dance with the painting. Layers and colors are added repeatedly on top of one another as the composition develops organically. Fluid, gestural marks emphasize the subject's liveliness. My light-filled studio in McKinney’s historic district envelops me in nature’s ever-changing dance. I observe and re-imagine the hues in nature’s palette outside my window and in a variety of locales around the world. Using vivid, saturated color, I encourage viewers of my art to step into their own imaginations and travel along with me.
