I was born in Abbeville, LA which is in South Louisiana. My parent’s heritage is French Canadian. As a teenager my Parent’s moved us to Central Texas and that is when I discovered my interest in Painting. There was a local art store in the town we moved to in Texas and I visited there often and was fascinated by these paintings and knew this is something I wanted to do. My Mother was always very artistic and encouraged projects and I grew up doing ceramics and fabric art. My mother was a fabric designer and enjoyed making blankets, jewelry, ornaments and painting. It took me years to realize that it was okay and that I loved to incorporate different mediums in one piece of work. I enjoy using acrylic, oil, embroidery and fabric in my artwork.
