Technology effects the way we make art and it also impacts the way we experience art. You can see an example of this as I squeeze out color from a tube of paint on my YouTube channel; or while watching me during one of my daily livestreams at Live Local Artist on Facebook. A person can now view the art of any gallery from around the world and never leave one's apartment. In many ways the connectivity leaves me feeling disconnected. Humanity is essential in the art process. An accurate depiction or assessment can be made with formula and numbers; but it could not invoke one to believe in the unseen or overcome the impossible. I paint in the manner of the impressionists, allowing myself to be influenced by all the great artists and new artists. From downloads of the Louve to the Graffiti of an urban overpass I let life move through my brush onto my canvas passing from reality to binary. Interpretations that will last for as long as we keep the lights on.
