We make ourselves from an understanding of who we are but we also made by the influences around us. Being nomadic by nature, I open to learn and ready to take another world view into account with my own. Native American culture continues to have a profound influence in my work (guardian figures of Pueblo Indians), while my work ethic is ritualistic in nature. Being bilingual, I am interested in the graphic “multivoicedness” and the figure of text rather than language, that often times creates unnecessary barriers, breakdowns in communication and prejudice formation of the Other.
