My current series of 31 digital drawings is based on Inktober prompts from 2019 with a continuous theme: Trump, Art History, Cats, and World War 3. This series of drawings started roughly on paper with ink in the beginning. I put paper aside and started drawing directly within procreate then added a pantone palette of blues and greens on an IPad Pro. I wanted busy compositions and a consistent theme to inspire compositional consideration and a sustained investigation in my Advanced Placement art students work at Boswell High School. This is my second digital Inktober challenge.
Dizzy is the prompt of Day 24, Inktober 2019. "Dizzy" is inspired by the famous Arcimboldo portraits from the 16th Century and Trump's famous trouble with Twitter statements. I added a cat swatting, a stealth bomber bombing, and retreating military desert transport to follow my theme. These art works are meant to be fun; a visual entertainment.
