This piece builds a comparison between today's Religious Leaders and Rap Artists. The ideas seem worlds apart but in Black Communities the resemblance is striking. The stereotyped materialism found within many hip hop artists can also quietly be seen when observing the actions of those who run churches. On the other hand, calls to God and other religious symbolism are deep rooted in today's rap music despite many negative stigmas.
By presenting the idea similarly to a stream of consciousness, the comparison is rooted by both parties basic human nature. Neither party inherently good or evil despite their respective appearance.
