The way I see it, the world is already filled with too much noise and clutter. I search to find solidity and meaning in an otherwise chaotic world. My art is about beauty as much as it is about the real and absolute nature of things. A sense of being cradled by the intense color and shape of nature is something I work to convey in my art. My preferred process starts with a complicated image that I filter into handful of elegant lines to create a smooth, soft and easily perceived image.
I started my art education experience in 1990 as a fine art major. I now hold a Master of Education and work in educational administration. Art continues to be a driving force in my life and I keep many projects and commissions going while working full-time at my day job. My studio is located in Georgetown,Texas. My work has recently been featured in gallery shows at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, the Georgetown Art Center and will be featured at the Georgetown Public Library in July 2020.
