I am privileged to be presently be training as a radiation oncologist. On a daily basis, I use my artistic ability to meticulously design, with a touch pen, palliative and curative radiation therapy for cancer patients. Outside of patient care, I am self-taught in figurative realism and portraiture, primarily through oils, graphite and charcoal. Through art, I aim to transcend the limitations of ordinary materialism and reductionism, in order to interface with the multidimensional nature of reality as uniquely experienced by humanity.
The hidden reality I hope to call forth and unveil encompasses metaphysical planes of ideas, emotions, consciousness and the spiritual. Utilizing traditional layering methods in combination with alla prima, I strive to incorporate carefully chosen subjects, compositions and vivid color schemes, with a particular emphasis on the interplay of light, shadow and varieties of texture, such as liquids and fabric.
