There was one time I created glass objects with intention of the object having a purpose. Now as I look at these glass scissors or glass hammer for instance, I think "As glass, what use would a glass pair of scissors have? Or a glass hammer?" It would shatter if used for their purpose. How many objects are out there in the world that people are using for other than their intended purpose? Does that object become unfamiliar if used for other than what it was designed for? I find the glass objects to be humorous, as they are non-functional as an object. People ask if it's real, these glass objects I make, like "Is there a real pair of scissors in there?" I say "Yes, they are real...REAL Glass!" The glass is sharp and delicate, which is why I like working with it.
