I make art to explore and challenge the place of my experiences within a larger context – relating the intimate to the larger narrative. Much of my work is inspired both by the specific – my surroundings, family, and daily life- as well as broader topics like mothering, reproductive rights, and the portrayal of women throughout history. This current series is focused on women’s “work”, mothering and (in)fertility.
