Julia Manson has been a practicing artist since 2015. Her love of nature, animals, and the human experience are common themes in her artwork. She will study an environment and everything that makes it unique, and will use those organically occurring elements in her work to celebrate and appreciate a region or a space. Her sculpture commissions in urban areas are about what feeling a space brings to the people who are inhabiting it. She will find a feeling or idea that will uplift and inspire people, and then convey it in an abstracted form. Her most recent series of paintings has been about exploring the South Central and the Rocky Mountain regions. She is intending convey the precious wildness of the plants and animals that are part of these regions. This series deals with themes of life new death and appreciate the beauty while it lasts, as well as protecting it.
