I work on theoretical concepts defined by research and observation to acknowledge the functionality of our societies and their future. I create a philosophical architecture of my thinking that I transpose into paintings. They are made of layers of acrylic, drawings and collages. Through the visual sensory of visual art, I want to depicts the intricacy of our societal environment by focusing on its working and trigger emotions for its better understanding. My recent project depicts how societies have mutated due to the algorithmic implementation for the pursuit of productivity. The series “The Island” presents the notion of ‘Heterotopia’, a concept developed by philosopher Michel Foucault. The other spaces in this case are dematerialized societal entities. Each Heterotopia is represented by a painting to address the functionality of societal entities and how energy, mobility, existence, demography, borders, consumption and governance will be organized to maximize productivity and space.
